Yesterday was a sortie with a difference which Arnhem veteran Mr Skilton had waited 64 years for.
And what better way to celebrate his 90th birthday than in the cockpit of a glider?
Retired hotelier Mr Skilton, from Exmouth, made his wish come true yesterday, courtesy of the Devon and Somerset Gliding Club at its North Hill Airfield, near Honiton.
