Disgust as stripper is fondled in the middle of popular city pub

Friday, August 15, 2008, 23:00

A WOMAN stripped naked in front of dozens of people in a city centre pub and allegedly allowed a group of men to grope her while she poured oil over her breasts.

The woman was hired to perform for a stag party at the Black Horse in Longbrook Street.

She entered the venue wearing a skimpy nurse's uniform and began to dance to music from a CD player.

She undressed and eventually took off her underwear before pouring baby oil over her chest and allowing a group of men to rub it in.

Several members of the stag group took photos and video on their mobile phones.

The stripper then allegedly fell to the floor and simulated a sexual act.

Several drinkers who were in the pub at the time said they were shocked and offended.

A complaint has been made to Exeter City Council, the licensing authority, about the incident.

One woman who witnessed the act, and asked not to be named, said: "I saw the woman come in, straddle the man and gyrate on him. She started to get undressed and started taking photos."

The witness said she was so sickened by the "seediness" of the act she went outside until it had ended.

"When I came back I spoke to those people in my group that had remained. A friend said it was disgusting, and another had to swap seats with her boyfriend because she was so uncomfortable with the view," she said.

"The woman had been lying on her back rubbing oil onto her chest. She was apparently completely naked and grabbing a man's privates.

"A friend said she asked one of the blokes if he had enjoyed the show, and he said that they had.

"One woman was so upset she was in the toilets crying. A lot of people, including men, found it is completely inappropriate — it went too far."

The landlord of the Black Horse, Chris Knott, said he gave his permission for the woman to perform in the pub.

"She was a stripogram and it lasted for about two minutes," he said. "I couldn't see if anyone touched her or if she got completely naked."

Mr Knott said the pub did not have a licence for dancing but he had allowed similar acts to perform before without any problems.

He said he received one complaint and he was not aware of anybody else finding the act upsetting or offensive.

A council spokesman said a member of the public had called to complain about the act but a submission needed to be made in writing for officers to investigate whether the landlord had contravened the terms of his licence.
