FUNDRAISER: Evolver band member Martin Sanders with Ian and Elaine Massey of the Devon Air Ambulance Trust
The fundraising gig at the Globe Inn in Newtown was organised by Martin Sanders, the bassist of Exeter pop and rock band Evolver.
Rock band Dead Fish, from Kennford, and acoustic group Echoes, from Plymouth, also performed.
Martin, 30, from Tiverton, said: "The Globe Inn gave us the room for free which enabled us to raise as much money as possible for the charity. The air ambulance is a really special charity which operates solely through donations.
"Around 100 people turned up and the atmosphere was brilliant. We raised £382 on the door which has gone up to £447 as people who couldn't make it donated to my page on the Just Giving website. My goal is to raise £500.
"Our lead singer, Lorraine Carroll, helped me arrange the gig."
Caroline Creer, the trust's fundraising director, said: "We would like to thank everyone involved with this event for their hard work and support of the charity. It is very much appreciated."
