Pub praised for its perfect pint

THE owners of the Bridge Inn at Dulverton have won an award for the quality of their beer.

Kenny and Rachel McDonald, who run the pub in Bridge Street, have been given the Cask Marque accreditation for serving a perfect pint of cask conditioned ale.

Kenny said: "This award is a great endorsement for us. We re-opened the pub two years ago and have consistently aimed to offer the customer the perfect pint and a great menu to match"

Backed by 34 of the country's brewers and pub firms, Cask Marque accreditation is only awarded to licensees whose ale passes a series of quality audits.

Cask Marque director Paul Nunny said: "Kenny and Rachel should be proud of this award, which recognises the effort they put into serving the perfect pint and is an independent guarantee of quality for customers."
