Impessive, but busy!

The National Marine Aquarium is an impressive place to visit, with all types of aquatic life in absolutely massive tanks! Do try to go outside the summer holidays though as can get quite busy at times.

About the aquarium.
The National Marine Aquarium is a registered charity committed to promoting a sympathetic understanding of the sea through programmes of education, conservation and research.
Pay once and visit free for a year.
So that visitors can gain the most from their experience at the National Marine Aquarium, on purchase of a day ticket visitors will be able to return to the National Marine Aquarium for a further 12 months free of charge (terms and conditions apply). This is applicable to all tickets purchased online too.
The Gift Aid scheme.
Using Gift Aid means for every pound you donate we are able to claim 25 pence from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, helping us to continue our educational, conservation and charity work. Imagine what a difference that could make and it does not cost you a thing. Making your donation under Gift Aid will enable the National Marine Aquarium, a registered charity, to benefit from an addition 25 pence for every £1 you pay at no additional cost to you.
Linking learning to conservation.
Ultimately, we operate an Aquarium to promote a sympathetic understanding of the sea. We dedicate a lot of research effort to understanding how our visitors learn from the Aquarium experience and, more widely, how conservation attitudes and behaviours can be encouraged.
