Where are the police at hunt meets?
HAVING read of a hunt supporter dying recently in tragic circumstances and on the other side of the coin, Christopher Marles being jailed for two assaults on hunt monitors, Whipper-in jailed for horse attack on hunt monitor, Echo, March 14 where are the police?
I seem to remember when hunts met before the ban they were in evidence at every meet, but since the ban they have relied more and more on hunt monitors to provide them with evidence of illegal hunting.
Now we've seen the results, with blood being spilled.
At the same time, I also ask the hunting fraternity to take a long hard look at themselves.
Hunting with hounds is banned, obey the law. Police, you know your responsibility, apply the law or more tragedies will happen.

“The Act has failed. What is the point in wasting more public money on policing it. Hunts are trail hunting or using exemptions and that is why in 4 years there have been three convictions only. The Hunt Monitors (or sabs) are getting desperate and making up all sorts of rubbish to try to further their desperate unproportional aims. Hunt on until repeal.”
