Exeter Barnfield - Sean Lock 2013 Tour - Purple van man is a hilarious new stand up show from Sean Lock, the most fertile comic mind in Britain. We all know what white van man thinks about the world we live in but its time to hear a different voice, purple van man’s voice. Filled with gags, opinions, deft observations and some silly voices this is Sean Lock doing what he does best, spouting inspired jibber jabber as he crosses the country in his purple van. Exeter Northcott - Chris Addison: The Time is Now, Again - The star of The Thick of It, and Mock The Week brings his twice extended, critically acclaimed tour The Time Is Now, Again to the Exeter Northcottt. Exeter Cathedral - ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is holding a special fundraising concert to support the work of the charity. It was founded as the Army Benevolent Fund in 1944, with Majesty King George VI as its first patron. The mission of the charity is to give help to serving and retired soldiers in need. This may, in the case of those serving in Afghanistan today, take the form of practical and financial help following a serious wound or help to the family of a soldier who has made the final sacrifice. 7.15-9.30pm. £10 per ticket. Her parents are gone and her bird-loving uncle is getting too close for comfort. She is only sure of one thing...she must get out. In a desperate bid to find the grandparents she never knew, Leo jumps on a train to Glasgow, penniless and stealing food to survive. A nationwide hunt for her begins. Exeter Barnfield - Daniel's Demons - A charity theatre event in the Clifford Room at the Barnfield. They say everyone has their demons, just not everyone’s are called Graham and Trevor. Daniel's Demons, a new comedy, is the story of a loving, accepting family with an alternative view of normality. The first half explores the relationship between Daniel's parents and their meeting in Northern Ireland, then focuses on Daniel as a teenager, his bond with his father and the humour between them. The second part looks at loss and how Daniel questions his grasp of reality - enter the 'demons' - and the use of humour as a coping mechanism for Daniel and those who share his circumstances. Although based on practical experience in mental health, the characters take therapy to a level not, as yet, available on the NHS - or anywhere else for that matter. RAMM - Veolia Environnement Exhibitions Wildlllife Photographer of the Year. Inspiring wonder at the natural world and highlighting the need for wildlife conservation, this exhibition showcases the winning images from all 11 categories of the competition including underwater worlds, urban wildlife, plants and more. Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year is the world’s most prestigious annual wildlife photography competition.
