The science of good comedy
SOME of you might think Happiness Through Science sounds like an odd name for a tour by a stand-up comedian – you might well be correct. For this is no ordinary tour just as Robin Ince is no ordinary stand-up comic.
Perhaps best known for his appearances on Radio 4, Robin has become a passionate and vigorously articulate advocate of science, often working with luminaries such as Richard Dawkins and Brian Cox.
Crucially, he's also very funny. As far away from a dusty school science lesson as could possibly be imagined it's doubtful anyone present to witness his performance at the Northcott recently could have failed to be carried away by Robin's verve and enthusiasm. An excellent night.
