“ Where would Exeter be without that High Street stalwart M&S? Everyone needs to go there at some point, if only for new underwear. (And on that topic, ladies, I have heard from my other half that their bra-fitting service is second to none...) As far as menswear goes, they always have a good range of well-made, hardwearing and reasonably priced clothing. That said, popular items in popular sizes are often out of stock, and the standard response to this is: 'You can order it online'. Well, if I'm going to shop online, I can do it without the bother of travelling into Exeter, but I do feel that clothes need to be tried for fit before buying, which is why I go to M&S in the first place! On the plus side, though, they do offer an alteration service, so if you buy a suit instore, you can have it fitted to perfection. ”
