Rogers is confident of pulling off an FA Trophy surprise
The Yellows have been drawn to face the Conference South strugglers away in the third qualifying round of the competition after they defeated Wealdstone 2-1 in the previous round on Saturday.
Rogers admitted he had hoped his men would be handed a home tie at this stage of the competition, with former FA Cup winners AFC Wimbledon his dream opponents.
But with the Blues struggling badly in the league above Tivvy, Rogers believes his men have an excellent chance of pulling off a shock and progressing to the first round — the stage at which the non-league big boys of the Conference enter proceedings.
The Ladysmead chief said: "I think we have got every chance. They are not having the best of seasons to start with and hopefully we will capitalise on that.
"You are always disappointed to be drawn away, but at the end of the day we have got a good chance. It could have been a lot better but it could have been a lot worse.
"We realise it's going to be tough because they are a division higher, but we will be in with a fair shout. We have been decent away from home this season and hopefully we can keep that roll going."
Against Wealdstone on Saturday, goals from Paul Jarvis, who has just signed a new one-year contract with the club, and Phil Walsh helped Tivvy book their place in yesterday's FA Trophy draw.
The Yellows will travel to Bishop's Stortford on Saturday, November 22, where the winners will pocket £4,000.
The Blues will be looking to the Trophy for a respite from their Conference South woes.
Manager Martin Hayes' men are currently languishing fourth from bottom of the Blue Square South, having lost 2-0 at home to fellow strugglers Dorchester Town on Saturday.
Stortford have only managed three league wins all season, but they do have a threat up front in the form of Danny Harris who has five goals to his name.
Against Tiverton Harris could partner Roy Essandoh upfront, the striker who famously headed Wycombe Wanderers into the semi-final of the 2001 FA Cup with a late winner against Leicester City and is now in his fourth stint with Bishop's Stortford.
Tiverton were due to be back in Southern League action tonight at Ladysmead, where they were scheduled to play Oxford City.
However the game has been postponed because the visitors are involved in an FA Trophy replay instead.
Rogers said: "It would have been a nice opportunity to get into the top six, but instead we will get everyone rested and ready for Saturday."
