Youngster Molly leads the way at Exeter Eagles' mini race meeting

Saturday, October 25, 2008, 23:00

MOLLY O'Loughlin led the way in all four races of the four and under category at the first round of the mini race series at Cofton Road track.

She finished ahead of Jack Ottaway and Thomas King.

Ben Colins, Zak Ramsden and Ryan O'Loughlin did battle in what was a very exciting race in the 6-9s.

Colins was taking part in his first race and was the eventual winner from Ramsden. Ryan O'Loughlin took a tumble in the first moto which put him out of contention for the top spot, but he managed a brave remount to grab fifth overall.

Daniel King finished in third spot ahead of a younger Oliver Foster, who was fourth. Finley Baker, James Bovey and Jodie Phillips finished sixth, seventh and eighth respectively.

The 10-13 group saw another battle which was won consistently by Eddie Moore.

Todd Rattue and Conrad Pullin had to fight it out for second and third.

Pullin eventually took second with Shannon Blake fourth, Bejamin Comer fifth, Chris Tibbs sixth and Brandon Rutley seventh.

Bethan Hallett won the 14 and 15s as her experience really shone through. However local rider Joe Reed did manage to challenge her all the way and did beat her in one of the motos to take second place.

In the 16+ Daniel Thorne was never troubled and took four wins out of four.

Dan McBride was second with Samuel Leggett in third. They were followed by David Brooks, Ben Gallaway, Daniel Hill and Carl Harris.

Ian Wheeler was the most consistent to take first place in the 25+ class, closely followed by Chris Ramsden and the old man of the group Martin Brooks.

We would like to encourage more people to come along to the next round, which is taking place on Sunday, November 2. For more information contact Mandy Jenks on 01884 258052 or visit www.exeter-eagles.co.uk.
