Two wins for Tiverton A
TIVERTON A Target shooters continued their success, winning rounds three and four of the Devon Winter League, with Alex Covey scoring a 100.
In round three, Pinhoe B lost 491-478 against Tiverton, with Richard Covey (98), Gerald Ratcliff (99), Steve Smith (97), Alex Covey (98) and Ben Blewett (99) scoring well. In round four, scores from Richard Covey (98), Ratcliff (99), Smith (96), Alex Covey (100) and Blewett (97) saw Tiverton A beat Sidbury A 490-472.
Tiverton B had mixed fortunes, losing against Budleigh Salterton C but snatching victory against Lustleigh HG A by six points. Round three saw Bruce Hunt (91), Dave Waller (93), Simon Radford (91), Stuart Silvester (92) and Will Pitts (93) go down 476-460. Round four's total was 465 thanks to Hunt (95), Waller (92), Radford (95), Silvester (93) and Pitts (90).
In round one of the Devon Winter League 20-yard pistol competition, the Tiverton team had a good win over Braunton A 502-491, after fine performances from Jeremy Grant (173), Bernard Schwarz (165) and Gerald Ratcliff (164).
