More work needed to remove Teignmouth landslip
Further work is required to remove the landslip at Teignmouth that has disrupted rail journeys into South Devon and Cornwall.
Network Rail has only removed just over half of the 1500 tonnes of liquefied mud and spoil that slid down the cliff face between Sprey Point and Parsons Tunnel.

Engineers will try to remove the rest during the rest of the week to minimise disruption to rail services.
The massive clean-up has already cost more than £500,000 and the bill is still rising.

There is still a 50mph speed restriction on the southbound Down Line and a 20mph speed limit on the Up Line while the work is ongoing.
Network Rail has also put a watchman on the slip site round the clock to ensure passenger and train safety.
As yet, there is no date set for the completion of the works. It is hoped to reinstate full line speed as soon as possible.
